What I've been doing :

I haven't posted for a while and this is why, I've been getting all the baby stuff ready. You may be thinking, oh why is her baby due next week? The answer is no, I am a little OCD. I just don't want to be doing everything at the end, or during the holidays, or even worse after the baby gets here. So this my baby cupboard, I made a list, and I have bought everything from, nursing pads, to formula, to new binkis, etc.
This might sound like bragging, and I'm sorry, but Heather, (my sis-in law) let me borrow her little twins' clothes, plus I have all of Reese's clothes. It took me a whole week to get all the laundry washed and put away, I'm glad I didn't wait till Jan. to start. So thanks again to Heather, because we have so many clothes now, I don't have to do laundry for probably a month, plus I think this baby will not be able to wear the same outfit twice. (Not to mention the 26 pairs of tiny shoes she sent me with.) Yes I know, it's called being spoiled :)

I also painted the room this week. Yes I know I am having a girl, and yes both their rooms are blue. But the picture doesn't do the color justice, because really it is a bright turquoise color. My next step, I think is to put polka dots all over the walls, and I need to make a few decorations. But I'm so close to being done. My goal is to have it done before Thanksgiving.I don't know what has gotten into me lately, making me think I can make things myself. But I just haven't found anything I like to buy, so I've made made everything. I made the bumpers, a quilt (which I forgot to take a pic of I just realized,) and the crib skirt. And I think they really turned out good. The bummer is they didn't have enough of the fabric I wanted to make my fitted crib sheet so I'm not sure what to do, I have some plain ones, but they're just not as cute.
Also I made two changing pad covers, they were really simple. But I do need to figure out how to make a mobile, and that might be a little bit hard, we'll see.
Anyway, now that I'm prob. 95% done with all the baby stuff I should be back to normal life. Hope everyone has a good holliday.

Big Girl Room!

It's official, I have a big girl! I've been working on getting her room ready for what seems like a long time. I moved Reese downstairs, and I'm going to put the new little lady in her old room. Reese seems to love her big girl bed. In fact it's made it easier when it comes to nap time. I know the newness will wear off, but for now it's nice. I got these letters at JoAnns and mod podged them.
This may not look that cool to you, but it took me forever. I stole the idea off of pottery barn, but theirs was white butterflies and I wanted it to be more colorful. Luckily Jeremy gave me a cricut last year, that made it easier. Just threading them all together took a long time.

I found this cute tree at that kiosk at the mall, they've got some cute stuff.
Reese update: I think we've made it past our bad phase. So It only lasted a little more than a week, that's not too bad. I took her to the doctor and there was a reason why she was having accidents. And I think we got that all taken care of. She loves having her big girl room.

Happy Halloween!

Before I talk about the halloween festivities I need to talk about last week. REGRESSION: they said it would come, and I still wasn't prepared. I feel like this week Reese has taken some steps forward, but some steps backwards as well. As of a week and a half ago, Reese was 100% with the potty. She can hold it longer than I can. And then Monday morning hit, and it's like we were back to square one. Which brings me to my next point :
BEST HUSBAND OF THE WEEK GOES TO JEREMY DEAMER!
I was quite frustrated with Reese's behavior last week and Jeremy was so sweet! He came home on Monday because I left him a message on his phone, (and I may have been starting to cry). Then on Tuesday he brought home a box of See's chocolates - Hello! he's awesome. On Wed, Reese's twin bed and dresser finally came, he left work to go get them, meanwhile his dad's truck, that he was driving broke down on the freeway. Needless to say after he was finally towed home, he still put the bed together. And then proceeded to help me hang up vinyl flowers and stuff. Point of the story is, is that I have an amazing husband. And although he's so crazy busy with work, he still is so sweet and makes time for me and Reese. I'm so thankful for him!

A step forward : We moved her into her room on Sat night and she has done so good, and it makes me realize what a big girl she is. I told her she can't get out of bed that, (even though she could,) she has to call for me like she would if she was in her crib, and SHE HAS! It's easy to say that's the rule, but I wasn't sure if she would listen to me. So far she has even taken her naps just fine, and not tried to get up at all.

Back to the point of the post : Halloween. I took Reese to Jeremy's, and my dad's work on Friday to trick or treat where she recieved way more candy than I would have liked :)
Yes, I made this costume - She's a cupcake. (It was Darlene's idea), and I think it turned out really cute! I also made her a witch costume, which she didn't even wear. I had thought that it would be nice to have more than one costume, but when it came down to it, I had spent more time on the cupcake, although it was a cute witch, I just ended up having her wear the cupcake the whole time. Remind me next year one costume is enough :)

Jeremy's cousins all stopped by and I couldn't resist posting a picture of Tatton, (Kara's baby) as Nacho Libre. That's definitely one of the funniest costumes I've ever seen.
Yes, even I decided to be festive this year, and although you can't see my pointy, high heels, you'd be proud of me for trying to wear them at all let alone trick or treating in them. Fashion first right. Witches don't wear flat sneakers.

This, is the difference between first and second babies, (tummy size I mean) This is Lauren, Jeremy's cousin's wife, she's due the day after me.

So I love to carve pumpkins, and Jeremy, (and his family) always does the best ones ever! You don't just carve a crooked smile with two triangle eyes in this family!

Here's a just a few of my favorites of the night: (none of mine make the cut.) Jeremy did this one, I'm not 100% sure but there's kind of and inside joke about Abraham Lincoln in this family. I believe it starts with Dave, and his hatred for him, but I've never figured out why he hates good 'ol Abe. Either way, it was a pretty good portrayal, I thought.

I think Jeremy did both of these as well. (Frankenstein, and Jason if you couldn't figure it out.)

Heather did this one, I thought it turned out so cute!
Hope everyone else had a good night.
