Before I talk about the halloween festivities I need to talk about last week. REGRESSION: they said it would come, and I still wasn't prepared. I feel like this week Reese has taken some steps forward, but some steps backwards as well. As of a week and a half ago, Reese was 100% with the potty. She can hold it longer than I can. And then Monday morning hit, and it's like we were back to square one. Which brings me to my next point :
BEST HUSBAND OF THE WEEK GOES TO JEREMY DEAMER!
I was quite frustrated with Reese's behavior last week and Jeremy was so sweet! He came home on Monday because I left him a message on his phone, (and I may have been starting to cry). Then on Tuesday he brought home a box of See's chocolates - Hello! he's awesome. On Wed, Reese's twin bed and dresser finally came, he left work to go get them, meanwhile his dad's truck, that he was driving broke down on the freeway. Needless to say after he was finally towed home, he still put the bed together. And then proceeded to help me hang up vinyl flowers and stuff. Point of the story is, is that I have an amazing husband. And although he's so crazy busy with work, he still is so sweet and makes time for me and Reese. I'm so thankful for him!
A step forward : We moved her into her room on Sat night and she has done so good, and it makes me realize what a big girl she is. I told her she can't get out of bed that, (even though she could,) she has to call for me like she would if she was in her crib, and SHE HAS! It's easy to say that's the rule, but I wasn't sure if she would listen to me. So far she has even taken her naps just fine, and not tried to get up at all.
Back to the point of the post : Halloween. I took Reese to Jeremy's, and my dad's work on Friday to trick or treat where she recieved way more candy than I would have liked :)
Yes, I made this costume - She's a cupcake. (It was Darlene's idea), and I think it turned out really cute! I also made her a witch costume, which she didn't even wear. I had thought that it would be nice to have more than one costume, but when it came down to it, I had spent more time on the cupcake, although it was a cute witch, I just ended up having her wear the cupcake the whole time. Remind me next year one costume is enough :)
Jeremy's cousins all stopped by and I couldn't resist posting a picture of Tatton, (Kara's baby) as Nacho Libre. That's definitely one of the funniest costumes I've ever seen.
Yes, even I decided to be festive this year, and although you can't see my pointy, high heels, you'd be proud of me for trying to wear them at all let alone trick or treating in them. Fashion first right. Witches don't wear flat sneakers.
This, is the difference between first and second babies, (tummy size I mean) This is Lauren, Jeremy's cousin's wife, she's due the day after me.
So I love to carve pumpkins, and Jeremy, (and his family) always does the best ones ever! You don't just carve a crooked smile with two triangle eyes in this family!
Here's a just a few of my favorites of the night: (none of mine make the cut.) Jeremy did this one, I'm not 100% sure but there's kind of and inside joke about Abraham Lincoln in this family. I believe it starts with Dave, and his hatred for him, but I've never figured out why he hates good 'ol Abe. Either way, it was a pretty good portrayal, I thought.
I think Jeremy did both of these as well. (Frankenstein, and Jason if you couldn't figure it out.)
Heather did this one, I thought it turned out so cute!
Hope everyone else had a good night.
