Do you see a resemblance?

Have you read this book, by Dr. Seuss?
But because they had stars all the star-bellied Sneetches would brag, "We're the best kind of Sneech on the beaches."

Quite similar right?

I know, I shouldn't be sharing this, but if you can't laugh at yourself, then just everyone else will, right?

More Christmas fun!

Darlene and Jody took us all to the Little America brunch with Santa. We had so much fun, I just realized I should have taken some pictures of the food, because it's amazingly yummy.
We didn't get a great pic. of this, but Reese was so excited to see Santa, she gave him the biggest hug, I thought it was so cute that he would pick her up! I felt bad though, because she told him she wanted a ball. And she thought that meant she was getting it right then. But she didn't get too sad, I just have to make sure and go buy her a ball now :)

Of course when all the kids were smiling and looking, my camera was being so slow it missed it, but oh well.

When we came home there was so much snow we couldn't get in our driveway. Jeremy had to plow with the 4 wheeler, while Jody snowplowed. Reese loved going on a ride with dad.

I had another class last night, this one turned out a little better since I had some instructions, and wasn't just messing around by myself.

Cake decorating.

Recently I received the best early Christmas present, from my sis-in-law Ashley. She signed me up for a cake decorating class. Which I have always wanted to do, also she bought me a lot of the stuff I need. Anyway I have only been to one class, (in which you just watch.) But It was Darlene's birthday today and I wanted to try out my stuff, (even though I didn't really know what I was doing.). So here is my first effort. And I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks I'll be able to show off some even better skills.
On a completely different note. I have this nursing cover, (hooter hider), or even worse, (udder cover). Is it really necessary that they call us cows, I think that's taking it a little far. Anyway the point is that right now they are doing a deal where you can get one for FREE, just paying shipping. (Which is $8.95) They are normally $32 and I've seen them all kinds of places all the way up to $50. So if you go to uddercovers.com, chose the one you want, and then there will be a box that says promo code. Type in Christmas, and wa-la, a free nursing cover! Their cute, and you can use them as presents as well. Just thought I'd let you know!

The season continues!

We finally got our tree! For those of you who are getting a real tree and haven't gotten one yet, I recommend going over to Harmons. I know that sounds weird, but they had pretty good trees. Usually we pay about $50 more and I think it looks just as good.
I let Reese go play in the snow.( After a Christmas Story like scene of getting her ready with tons of layers). But afterward we went to see Jeremy's Grandpa who informed me that it was 15 degrees outside! That's cold.
I was told after my last post that I needed to post a preg. pic. So here you go, I had to take it myself, so ignore the fact that it's not a great pic. You can still see how large the tummy is, which it is quite large.
I am officially not feeling too great. My whole body hurts, and I thought I wasn't sleeping good, but little did I know, that I was sleeping pretty good, because this week hit and I am having the hardest time sleeping ever. And for all I know it's going to get worse. Oh well I'll be glad when I have my little lady here.

Christmas season has officially begun!

I just haven't had anything to post for awhile, (I like to have pics to add.) But last week my sis-in-law Heather called me and had the nice plan to go see Mrs. Claus. Which I had never heard of anyone going to see her and not Santa, but hey, why not? We got there and Reese was really excited.
I love the look on her face in this one, (she's telling her that she wants a train for Christmas, which I had no idea she was interested in trains, and of course her shopping is done.) If you're wondering why I have no pictures to share of Kennedy and Hadley, it's not because I didn't care to take any, it's because Kennedy had a breakdown, on Mrs. Claus' lap, and Hadley didn't care enough to even look at the camera.
This pic is back when we had the first snow of the season. It's a good thing I let her play in it, because and hour or two later and it had melted. I get so excited when it snows for the first time, although I have to admit the subsequent snows I'm not quite as enthusiastic for :)
Quick Preg. update: The due date is the 25th of Jan. But I'm hoping to be started on the 18th. This week the doctor said the baby is already 4 lbs. I was excited to hear that. She also said the baby's head was quite small, and she's already head down, which is good, because she most likely will stay that way. (p.s. we don't have a name yet.)

What I've been doing :

I haven't posted for a while and this is why, I've been getting all the baby stuff ready. You may be thinking, oh why is her baby due next week? The answer is no, I am a little OCD. I just don't want to be doing everything at the end, or during the holidays, or even worse after the baby gets here. So this my baby cupboard, I made a list, and I have bought everything from, nursing pads, to formula, to new binkis, etc.
This might sound like bragging, and I'm sorry, but Heather, (my sis-in law) let me borrow her little twins' clothes, plus I have all of Reese's clothes. It took me a whole week to get all the laundry washed and put away, I'm glad I didn't wait till Jan. to start. So thanks again to Heather, because we have so many clothes now, I don't have to do laundry for probably a month, plus I think this baby will not be able to wear the same outfit twice. (Not to mention the 26 pairs of tiny shoes she sent me with.) Yes I know, it's called being spoiled :)

I also painted the room this week. Yes I know I am having a girl, and yes both their rooms are blue. But the picture doesn't do the color justice, because really it is a bright turquoise color. My next step, I think is to put polka dots all over the walls, and I need to make a few decorations. But I'm so close to being done. My goal is to have it done before Thanksgiving.I don't know what has gotten into me lately, making me think I can make things myself. But I just haven't found anything I like to buy, so I've made made everything. I made the bumpers, a quilt (which I forgot to take a pic of I just realized,) and the crib skirt. And I think they really turned out good. The bummer is they didn't have enough of the fabric I wanted to make my fitted crib sheet so I'm not sure what to do, I have some plain ones, but they're just not as cute.
Also I made two changing pad covers, they were really simple. But I do need to figure out how to make a mobile, and that might be a little bit hard, we'll see.
Anyway, now that I'm prob. 95% done with all the baby stuff I should be back to normal life. Hope everyone has a good holliday.

Big Girl Room!

It's official, I have a big girl! I've been working on getting her room ready for what seems like a long time. I moved Reese downstairs, and I'm going to put the new little lady in her old room. Reese seems to love her big girl bed. In fact it's made it easier when it comes to nap time. I know the newness will wear off, but for now it's nice. I got these letters at JoAnns and mod podged them.
This may not look that cool to you, but it took me forever. I stole the idea off of pottery barn, but theirs was white butterflies and I wanted it to be more colorful. Luckily Jeremy gave me a cricut last year, that made it easier. Just threading them all together took a long time.

I found this cute tree at that kiosk at the mall, they've got some cute stuff.
Reese update: I think we've made it past our bad phase. So It only lasted a little more than a week, that's not too bad. I took her to the doctor and there was a reason why she was having accidents. And I think we got that all taken care of. She loves having her big girl room.

Happy Halloween!

Before I talk about the halloween festivities I need to talk about last week. REGRESSION: they said it would come, and I still wasn't prepared. I feel like this week Reese has taken some steps forward, but some steps backwards as well. As of a week and a half ago, Reese was 100% with the potty. She can hold it longer than I can. And then Monday morning hit, and it's like we were back to square one. Which brings me to my next point :
BEST HUSBAND OF THE WEEK GOES TO JEREMY DEAMER!
I was quite frustrated with Reese's behavior last week and Jeremy was so sweet! He came home on Monday because I left him a message on his phone, (and I may have been starting to cry). Then on Tuesday he brought home a box of See's chocolates - Hello! he's awesome. On Wed, Reese's twin bed and dresser finally came, he left work to go get them, meanwhile his dad's truck, that he was driving broke down on the freeway. Needless to say after he was finally towed home, he still put the bed together. And then proceeded to help me hang up vinyl flowers and stuff. Point of the story is, is that I have an amazing husband. And although he's so crazy busy with work, he still is so sweet and makes time for me and Reese. I'm so thankful for him!

A step forward : We moved her into her room on Sat night and she has done so good, and it makes me realize what a big girl she is. I told her she can't get out of bed that, (even though she could,) she has to call for me like she would if she was in her crib, and SHE HAS! It's easy to say that's the rule, but I wasn't sure if she would listen to me. So far she has even taken her naps just fine, and not tried to get up at all.

Back to the point of the post : Halloween. I took Reese to Jeremy's, and my dad's work on Friday to trick or treat where she recieved way more candy than I would have liked :)
Yes, I made this costume - She's a cupcake. (It was Darlene's idea), and I think it turned out really cute! I also made her a witch costume, which she didn't even wear. I had thought that it would be nice to have more than one costume, but when it came down to it, I had spent more time on the cupcake, although it was a cute witch, I just ended up having her wear the cupcake the whole time. Remind me next year one costume is enough :)

Jeremy's cousins all stopped by and I couldn't resist posting a picture of Tatton, (Kara's baby) as Nacho Libre. That's definitely one of the funniest costumes I've ever seen.
Yes, even I decided to be festive this year, and although you can't see my pointy, high heels, you'd be proud of me for trying to wear them at all let alone trick or treating in them. Fashion first right. Witches don't wear flat sneakers.

This, is the difference between first and second babies, (tummy size I mean) This is Lauren, Jeremy's cousin's wife, she's due the day after me.

So I love to carve pumpkins, and Jeremy, (and his family) always does the best ones ever! You don't just carve a crooked smile with two triangle eyes in this family!

Here's a just a few of my favorites of the night: (none of mine make the cut.) Jeremy did this one, I'm not 100% sure but there's kind of and inside joke about Abraham Lincoln in this family. I believe it starts with Dave, and his hatred for him, but I've never figured out why he hates good 'ol Abe. Either way, it was a pretty good portrayal, I thought.

I think Jeremy did both of these as well. (Frankenstein, and Jason if you couldn't figure it out.)

Heather did this one, I thought it turned out so cute!
Hope everyone else had a good night.

Penthouse in Park City!

Last weekend we were able to go up and stay in a suite in Park City.

We took the whole Deamer clan with us, (minus the Kuchenmiesters because they don't live here). The entire suite was bigger than my house. (It was the entire top floor, including a deck that went around the entire thing. On the deck was two different hot tubs, and two firepits as well. It was really fancy and nice.

I am always trying to get pictures of the three of us, and they never work out. I think Reese was being nervous because we were too high up, and close to the edge.
Needless to say it was a very nice little trip, we did some shopping before we went up as well. The suite was super posh. P.S. did you notice the size of my belly is definitely growing?

Little getaway, and spring cleaning.( ok fall cleaning)

Jeremy called me up on Friday, to say he booked us a room for the night in Park City. I didn't get very many pictures, I just realized. This bath tub was cool, it filled from the ceiling, I've never seen that before, and Reese thought it was awesome. Reese got her own room with a king size bed, that beats the crib any day. Jeremy's been so busy with work it was really nice to have some special family time.
As I have mentioned before, we have deer in our backyard almost all the time, especially in the fall and winter. This is from a few weeks ago. I don't know if you can tell, but the one with antlers has an apple stuck on one of the points, we thought it was funny.

While trying to take pictures of these deer that day I realized how dirty the outside of my windows were. I don't know about you guys, but I had never cleaned the outside, so it was definitely due for a good cleaning. So I took out all the screens and gave all the window a good clean from the inside and out.
Reese of course was my super good helper. I'm surprised that we never spilled that bucket. Needless to say, I never realized how dirty the tracks and the windows on the outside can get, and because I had waited so long I had to do each window about three times.
How often should you do windows? I was thinking every six months, because that would be again in the spring. No matter what that will be better than what I have been doing.
